This 40,000 pound mining machine shaft required a 1-2 pitch crown spline on both ends. Each spline was cut to SAE Class 5 fit tolerances on our Pfauter P2500B Precision Gear Hobbing Machine. Our 20 ton Overhead Crane assisted in flipping the part. |
