The Gear Works adds more CNC gear hobbing capacity
!
The Gear Works is proud to announce the commissioning of additional capacity and productivity in its mid-range gear cutting department with the installation of a Mitsubishi CNC gear hobbing machine, model GB100CNC. Now, gears up to 39” diameter can be cut in small order quantities with the same efficiencies as large lot production. The 33,000-pound machine consists of a robust cast iron frame that insures maximum rigidity when aggressive feed rates are employed. A Fanuc CNC controller insures the accurate synchronization of all five machine axis, including "crowning" capabilities.
