New at The Gear Works

STEEL SHOP CAPACITY INCREASED

To mitigate the effects of escalating steel prices and delivery delays due to material supply shortages, The Gear Works has just completed a major expansion of its steel bar stock processing facility. Now, carburizing and through hardening gear steel alloys are procured and inventoried up to 32” in diameter. This means that the material you need to meet a critical delivery should be in stock.

Our newly purchased HEM dual column horizontal saw.
Our newly purchased HEM dual column horizontal saw can process rough gear blanks up to 32" diameter.

To assure the best quality in gear manufacture, The Gear Works carries numerous gear steel alloys that are procured to very rigid requirements that meet or exceed the specifications set forth in ANSI/AGMA standard 2001-D04 for grade 2 material. Our steel purchasing requirements define:
  • Process
  • Chemistry
  • Cleanliness
  • Hardenability
  • Inspection/acceptance criteria

Our brand new HEM pivot saw.

Good gears start with good material. Good gear companies make it right from the start, and when your gears have to be right, start with The Gear Works.
